Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of thycc.fit (the “Service”), operated by Thycc FIT. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not register or use the Service.

1. Informational tool only

thycc.fit is an informational calorie and activity tracking tool. We are not fitness professionals, dietitians, physicians, or licensed healthcare providers. Nothing on this site is medical advice, a personalized training plan, or a substitute for care from a qualified professional. Estimates (activity burn, deficit, goal pacing, and similar figures) are approximate and based on commonly used industry conventions.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate registration information, keep your credentials private, and notify us if you believe your account is compromised. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to register.

3. Data we collect and why

To operate the Service we collect and store information you provide or generate through use, which may include account details (name, username, email, date of birth), food diary entries, weight logs, activity and watch sync samples, settings, API / Watch tokens, and technical logs needed to run and secure the site. If you turn on food-buy accountability, we also store the place category, the place name you send, whether you searched or were there, the diary verdict, and your answer (left, logged, or bought).

“I’m here” and aisle alerts may send coordinates once to name the nearest food place. Those coordinates are not kept on the server. The phone keeps the last position for about 30 minutes. The Bluetooth name and id of a selected watch stay on the phone until you pull it. Details and sample uploads are in the Privacy Policy.

Unless advised otherwise by the community, we do nothing with that information except retain and process it so you can see your own progress. We do not sell your diary. The only reason we would use your information for a new purpose is if you or others repeatedly ask for a feature that requires it.

4. Laws governing data collection

Depending on where you live, data collection and processing may be governed by applicable privacy and consumer-protection laws (for example, laws in the United States such as state privacy statutes where they apply, and other regional frameworks that may apply to you). You acknowledge that:

• you are choosing to submit personal and health-related tracking data to the Service;
• cross-border transmission and storage may occur as needed to host and operate thycc.fit;
• you are responsible for whether using the Service complies with laws that apply to you;
• optional features (FatSecret search, xAI photo description, email, watch sync, food-buy accountability, third-party ads) send only what those features need to function, over HTTPS where we control the connection.

We take reasonable steps to protect data in transit and at rest for a small self-hosted product, but no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

5. Hold harmless — data breach and security incidents

By signing up and using the Service, you agree to hold Thycc FIT, its operators, officers, and agents harmless from claims, losses, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of your data — including a data breach, account compromise, third-party service failure, or other security incident — except to the extent such liability cannot be limited or waived under applicable law.

You understand that you use the Service at your own risk with respect to data security, and that creating an account constitutes acceptance of this limitation and hold-harmless.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Thycc FIT is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for decisions you make based on tracker estimates.

7. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes are posted on this page constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes may also be noted on the blog or homepage.
